Work should be fun
What do I mean by fun? In every job there is something repetitive. This kind of work is 'boring'. But we accept it in the end because of the monies. 💰💰
I do firmly believe and am in the position to say. I want to have fun work more than repetitive work.
For me fun work is as follows: A new project where there is enough room to experiment or improve upon previous work. Let's say I have to build a nice header of a page. What makes it "fun" for me is able to improve my 'previously' build headers. Use the things I've learned building other headers to make this one even better.
So can I make the html more semantic, can I use a new CSS trick, can I do some fancy animation. This makes the work creative, and because I am a creative person, this kind of 'work' is 'fun'.
So in my front end develop work I look for places where I can make it fun. :)
And of course sometimes there is a project which has low budget or low time and so I need to copy paste and do repetitive work. Which is less fun. But for me I will thrive on a more creative workload so to say.
