Started running again
So years ago—probably like 16 years ago—I used to run. I was pretty good at it and could do 10k. But because I was doing the first year of my bachelor’s degree in just half a year, I didn’t really have time to go to the running club. So it kind of ebbed away…
I remember running being super fun, and I lost a lot of weight back then. At my peak, I was around 72kg. In contrast, I’m now 95kg 😅.
So recently I found out that my Garmin Instinct (I’ve had this watch since the beginning—like July 2020) actually has workouts and training plans 🙈. The watch neatly says things like: “Do 2 minutes of warming up,” then when it’s almost done, it beeps and tells you the next step in the workout. Today I did my first training towards 10k. Woohoo!
The Garmin Connect app now sets up workouts that you can start right from your watch. Which means I don’t have to bring my phone when running. It’s awesome.
So I’m following the training plan now, and hopefully I can run 10k by the end of July 2025! 🏃
