This prop is just baseline good vibes. It keeps your site from doing that annoying little shimmy left or right (or up and down) whenever scrollbars decide to show up or disappear.

It’s especially clutch for view transitions, without it, if the next page has a scrollbar, your whole layout nudges around like it’s had too much coffee.

I dropped this straight into my base theme. Can’t imagine shipping without it now.
